Grenadian Homecoming 2012 Diaspora Awards

The Embassy of Grenada is pleased to forward the following on behalf of the Washington Metropolitan Area Diaspora Consultative Committee (DCC) for Grenada’s Nationals Homecoming scheduled for August 5 – 18, 2012.

The DCC is requesting nominations for the Grenadian Homecoming 2012 Diaspora Awards to be awarded on Saturday, 18th August 2012 at the Closing Gala in Grenada.

  1. Nominations should be submitted by Thursday, 31st May 2012 to the Diaspora Consultative Committee at the Grenadian Embassy.
  2. The Nomination Form and Award Criteria will be published on Embassy’s website as well as the Office of Diaspora Affairs.
  3. The International Diaspora Consultative Committee (IDCC) will make final selections for Awards at its meeting on Friday, 15th June 2012.

Successful candidates will be informed by the Office of Diaspora Affairs.  Those unable to collect their awards will have the awards collected on their behalf.

Government of Grenada: Change in Ministerial Portfolios

The Honourable Tillman J. Thomas, Prime Minister of Grenada has assumed ministerial responsibility for Foreign Affairs, upon the resignation on May 17th, 2012 of the Honourable I. J. Karl Hood.

Senator the Honourable George Vincent has been appointed as Minister for Tourism, Civil Aviation and Culture, upon the resignation of the Honourable C. Peter David on April 30th, 2012.
