Passing of Dr. Neri P. Mark, DDS on Saturday, 24th October 2016

Dear Nationals and Friends,

The Embassy of Grenada regrets to inform of the passing of Dr. Neri P. Mark, DDS on Saturday, 24th October 2016 in Maryland.  The Embassy will forward the Memorial Service arrangements once they become available.  Dr. Mark’s body will be interred in Munich, St. Andrew’s, Grenada.

Guidance to Nationals in USA with green cards wishing to travel to Canada

You need an eTA to visit or transit through Canada by air if you are a lawful permanent resident of the U.S. and have a valid alien registration card (Green Card).
Note:  you will need a passport from your country of nationality to apply for an eTA.

UPDATE: Both Taplin and James move forward to finals on Sunday, August 14. James with the best qualiying time (44.02s) in the semifinals will be running in lane 6 and Taplin with the fourth best qualifying time (44.44s) will be in lane 4.

 

  • Today Friday  12th August  2016 Bralon Taplin and Kirani James will compete in the Men’s 400m Heat at the Rio Olympic.
  • Taplin runs in Heat #2 at 8:13 p.m. local time and Kirani in Heat #6 at 8:45 p.m.
  • Check your local carrier for coverage or you can go to GBN.gd
  • Let’s get together and support TEAM GRENADA.
  • Please note also that the SEMI-FINALS of the Men’s 400 is on Saturday 13th  at 7:30 p.m. and the FINALS is on Sunday 14th  at 9:00 p.m.

Best Wishes to Our Athletes in Rio

ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, August 5, 2016 – GIS: The Government and People of Grenada extend best wishes to our Olympic athletes as they compete in Rio 2016!

We are confident they would give a good account of themselves in representing us well.

Grenada will take part in Athletics and Swimming.

Kirani James and Bralon Taplin will compete in the Men’s 400 metres while Kanika Beckles in the Women’s equivalent.

Kurt Felix & Lindon Victor are in the Decathlon (10 events over two days).

Corey Ollivierre (100 metres Breaststroke) and Oreoluwa Cherebin (100 metres butterfly) are the swimmers.

Kirani James will carry our National Flag at the opening on Friday night.

We wish our athletes every success as they fly the national colours with pride in Rio.
