Consular Section Closed to the Public Until Further Notice

URGENT NOTICE:
Due to the growing health concerns surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) and the declaration of a state of emergency in the District of Colombia, our office is currently closed to the public. Appointment requests will only be honored for First-Time Applicants with urgent, confirmed travel. All other applications must be submitted via certified mail until further notice. The Consular Section will not be open to the public.

As a result, please note that current processing times for consular services is delayed by an additional 5-7 business days.

Baby Scales Donated to Grenada Special Care Foundation

While recently visiting Grenada, Mrs. Rhonda Coutain witnessed there was a need for baby scales in the hospital and decided to respond to the call made by the Grenada Special Care Foundation for much needed equipment for the Special Care Unit.

Mrs. Coutain reached out to the Embassy for assistance and guidance through our new database of friends and nationals and donated two (2) Health-O-Meter Grow with Me Baby to Toddler Scales.

The Special Care Foundation was established in May 2018 primarily to make a difference in the lives of premature babies in Grenada and provide assistance to the hospital’s Special Care Unit.

Passport Services Cut-Off 2019 – Thursday, December 5

Dear Nationals,

In an effort to ensure that all applications are processed and returned before the office closes for the holiday season, we will not be processing passport applications received after Thursday, December 5, 2019 until we return to office on Thursday, January 2, 2020.

If you need to renew your passport before the end of 2019, you must submit your application by Thursday, December 5, 2019. Any passports received after this date will not be returned until January 2020.

The office will be closed for the holiday season from Wednesday, December 25, 2019 to Thursdays, January 2, 2020.

New Passport Regulations and Fees

Beginning November 1, 2019 the following schedule of fees will apply.

For the issuance of a Caribbean Community Grenada passport under regulation 3 (1) or 3 (2) — Renewal or First-Time Applicant U.S. $250.00 or its equivalent (36 page passport book)
For the issuance of a Caribbean Community Grenada passport under regulation 4 (1) or 4 (2) — Replacement for Lost/Stolen/Damaged of Name Change U.S. $500.00 or its equivalent (36 page passport book)
For an endorsement of visa on a foreign passport U.S. $100.00 or its equivalent (single-entry)
U.S. $250.00 of its equivalent (multiple-entry)

August 2019 Closures

The Embassy, Permanent Mission, and Consulate in Washington, DC will be closed to the public on the following dates in August 2019.

August 5 – Emancipation Day
August 12 – Carnival Monday
August 13 – Carnival Tuesday
